Summer of Serve 2025

Community Serve Fair

Join us on Sunday, August 3, from 6-7:30pm for a hands-on evening of giving back! You’ll have the chance to serve multiple local organizations—right from our lobby.

From packing school supply kits for LISD, to bundling diapers for Loretto House, to creating comfort bags for the Children’s Advocacy Center of North Texas—there’s something meaningful for everyone to do.

Let’s come together and be a part of sharing God’s goodness with our neighbors! Register HERE.

Operation Christmas Child

Stop by our booth before or after Sunday services to learn about our churchwide packing party and how you can help!
Each week, we’ll be collecting donations—our goal is to have most items collected by August 3, so we have time to prepare before the big Packing Party on Sunday, August 17 right after service.

WHAT WE STILL NEED
Many in our church have been working all year—crocheting hats, sewing bags, making flatware kits, and writing notes. THANK YOU! Now, we’re looking for help with the final items:
  • Washcloths
  • Combs
  • School supplies
  • Small & medium toys
  • Deflated soccer balls with pumps
  • Trinkets
  • Clothing (boys & girls, ages 10–14)
  • Stuffed animals (Children’s Ministry is helping with this too!)

HOW TO GIVE SMART
  • Buy in bulk! Instead of filling a full box yourself, pick one category and help supply that for many kids.
  • Team up with your small group. Choose a category to champion—like soccer balls, toys, or combs.
  • Shop sales. Just avoid anything with food, liquids, glass, or war-related themes.

Our goal: 1,200 quality boxes packed together at our churchwide event!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We need lots of hands to prep! Join us during the day, in the evening, or on weekends—whatever fits your schedule. It’s a great way to serve, meet others at CBC, and have fun. Stop by the booth to find a time that works for you. Our motto: Many hands make light (and fun) work!

WHY IT MATTERS
These shoeboxes are often the only Christmas gift a child living in poverty receives. But they’re more than just gifts—they open doors. Local pastors use them to share the gospel, and each child is invited to a 12-week discipleship course to learn about Jesus.
We’re not just giving toys—we’re sharing hope.

Feed My Starving Children

Our Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack on June 28 was a HUGE success! We packed nearly 50,000 meals for hungry children around the world.  Thank you so much for your generosity and time!

Salvation Army Lunch Packing

We packed 750 lunches for hungry kids in our community! Way to go!
