  • To grow nutritious food using organic gardening practices for those facing food insecurity in our community
  • To encourage people of all ages, abilities, and experiences to work together and learn, sustainable garden practices, and water conservation
  • To create a place filled with joy, peace, and appreciation of God’s creation

Serve at Shepherd's Field

There are so many ways you can help our Crossroads garden, Shepherd's Field!
Whether you're an experienced gardener,  garden as a hobby, or just willing to help - we can use you!

  • Shepherd’s Field offers Volunteer opportunities throughout the week for master gardeners, student volunteers, hobby gardeners, and anyone looking to learn and serve!
  • On Gardening Days, we...
    • Pray and stretch
    • Prepare soil and start seeds
    • Dig and plant
    • Manage pests
    • Mulch and maintain
    • Water Wisely
    • Harvest with joy
  • Don't have a green thumb? No problem! We need many hands to help us process our harvests and deliver them to locations around our community

About Shepherd's Field

Shepherd’s Field began in January 2024 with a vision of a place where people of all ages, abilities & experience could build relationships & work together  to raise organic produce for those in need in our community.

Shepherd’s Field is a growing place, filled with the patience of planting, the joy of seeing seeds sprout into plants, the care of nurturing the plants by weeding & watering, and the thankfulness of harvest.

Jesus told Peter in John 21:17 that if he loved Jesus, he should “feed my sheep“. At Shepherd’s Field, we strive to do just that - both physically and spiritually.

In our first year, we had over 1500 volunteer service hours & shared over 500 pounds of organic produce with the community.
We look forward to how God continues to grow this ministry & hope to continue adding supporters & helpers to the garden each year.
