Opportunities to Serve
Here are some ways you can help serve others in our church and the surrounding community.
This list is not comprehensive, but it is updated regularly with current needs and the relevant contact infomation. If you desire to serve in an area not listed below, contact our church office at 972.355.3343.
School Supplies for Mexico
For over a decade, Crossroads has collected new and used school supplies from area schools on the last day of school and delivered them to impoverished areas in Mexico. This year we are excited to partner with Amor Ministries, which will distribute the supplies in Juarez, Mexico.
We have many ways for you to get involved.
- We need people to be liaisons for this program to local schools. If you already have a connection with a school (child at school, through PTA, as a teacher, etc.), you can be a tremendous help in this area.
- We need people with trucks to pick up the supplies at the schools and deliver them to the CBC building. This would mostly take place May 30–31.
- We also need anyone and everyone to help sort the supplies on May 30, 31, June 1 & 2. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate.
If you are interested in helping with any part of this program, please contact Susan Myers.
Cookies for McFadden Ranch
Tattooed Hearts is our weekly outreach and mentor program for teenage boys at McFadden Ranch, a juvenile facility. We also provide 16 dozen cookies each week for the program. If you'd like to help us meet this need (cookies can be homemade or store bought), you can drop off cookies in the church kitchen on Sundays and label them McFadden Ranch. Contact John Beré for more information.

Summer Help Needed May 27–August 26
Please help us give our wonderful preschool and elementary teachers the summer break they so richly deserve. Not available much in the summer? That's okay! Sign up for a month, two, or all three. Summer substitutes are also needed.

"Loft" Production Team
Volunteers on our Loft Production Team work behind the scenes to operate all visual media (what you see on the screens, lights, etc.) on Sunday mornings and for special events. The goal is to enable people to freely worship without distraction. Loft volunteers learn how to operate our worship software, the lightboard, and camera. Technical prowess is a plus, but not required — we'll train you!

Grounds Crew
Our grounds crew gets together for just a few hours, one Saturday a month, to help maintain the church grounds (mowing grass, edging, trimming trees and bushes, etc.). If you enjoy hands-on tasks and working outdoors, this is a great area in which to serve!
