Kingdom Quest

[]

Today's video games go to great lengths to portray the most realistic graphics imaginable, ranging from entertaining to - unfortunately - the disgusting.  And today's children face a greater reality that goes beyond the imaginary, electronic challenges they find in video games.  They face spiritual encounters that call for a renewed sense of missions, a re-invigorated "call to arms".  More than ever, they need the armor of God.

Kingdom Quest is designed to teach kids the various elements of the armor of God from Ephesians 6:10-17 in a way that is understandable and relevant to kids. The plot involves kids playing a video game, whose object is winning The Battle of Never-ending Light. Daily small group Bible studies enable kids to learn the truths of the songs more completely. Scripture-centered songs in a variety of styles ensure that kids will have FUN while they sing!

Our annual Service Project is boxing school supplies for Fair Park Friendship Center in Dallas. Supplies were collected during Vacation Bible School in June.  Click here for information about Fair Park Friendship Center.

Volunteers []

Volunteers are required to complete a ministry application and undergo a background check.  Classroom volunteers must be regular attendees of CBC.  CBC policy requires every small group to be staffed by two unrelated adults.

Every effort is made to make service easy and enjoyable.  Childcare is available for volunteers' children who are not old enough to attend VBS.  Adults are needed in many areas such as:

  • Small group leaders and assistants

  • Set design

  • Costume design

  • Registration/check in assistants

To register as a volunteer, click here and choose "Volunteer Registration".
