At CBC we believe the church is a family, and this year we want to kick off the Christmas season in a fun new way. On Sunday, December 2nd following our second service we are having a CBC Family Tree Trimming.
We’re asking each family to bring an ornament that represents them in some way – it could be to celebrate something that happened this year, to remember a loved one, to show a memory of a trip you took, or just something silly that your family loves. While we’ll do our best to ensure your ornaments get back to you, we cannot guarantee it so please do not bring an ornament that is not irreplaceable.
After second service on December 2nd we’ll gather from 12 - 1 pm and place our ornaments on the Christmas tree in our café. As we gather together, you'll have the opportunity to write a few sentences on a card provided about why you chose that ornament for your family, drink some hot chocolate, and even join us in singing a few Christmas carols. We’d also like you to bake and bring your favorite Christmas cookies to share.
As family ornaments fill our tree and we read the stories of why they were chosen, we'll begin to see the bigger story of our Church family.
Whether you have little kids or big kids, are married or single, or maybe you're looking for a fun way to connect with others at CBC - pick out an ornament, bake up some Christmas cookies, and come celebrate the start of the Christmas season with your CBC family!
