Director of Women's Ministries
I grew up in rural northeast Louisiana in a family of five. Because the salary here in Texas was double that of Louisiana, all of my education-major friends at Louisiana Tech and I headed across the border as soon after graduation as possible. I taught algebra for 11 years for Denton ISD before going to Dallas Theological Seminary in 2007. I went to seminary without any intention of ever working in a church, I simply needed to find God again after the death of my first husband. However, God has been faithful to open doors before me in women’s ministry at three different churches without ever seeking out employment.
I love that Crossroads has been a safe place for every member of my blended family to work through the pain of loss and to wrestle with the goodness of God. Grace is not merely a word that we toss around here; we truly embrace the messiness of discovering life with God.
"My goal for the women of CBC is to live into the reconciliation Christ purchased for us. In the words of Rich Mullins, 'If I stand, let me stand on the promise that You will pull me through and if I can’t let me fall on the grace that first brought me to You.'”
