I grew up I Pennsylvania, but I got to Texas as soon as I had the chance. We moved here as a family during my sophomore year of high school and I’ve never left. I met a full-blooded Texas boy (Greg), and we were married in 11 months. Five years into our marriage we caught the “pregnant bug” and had our first daughter, Raeanna. She is now a pastry chef and attending school to complete her Associates.
About one month before we had our second child, Nathan, we started at CBC and have been members for 18 years. Nathan is attending and playing baseball for Arlington Baptist University and majoring in Education and will eventually teach High School History.
Living in a Christian home, I became a Christian at an early age. It wasn’t until my 20’s that I really “began” a relationship with Christ. Being newly married with the hopes of being a mom someday, I thought it was wise to jump into some Bible studies, so I started with Precepts. I learned so much about God and the Bible, but it wasn’t until my late 30’s that I learned how to “walk out” my relationship with God.
I was on staff for four years as Women’s Ministry Assistant, and then the kids’ high school schedules hit us and I took a four-year sabbatical. I was asked to join the team again and round two is now assisting Charlie in his pastoral roles, assisting in High School and Middle School, and work with the church management system.
“My goal for CBC is to see growth and not just growth in numbers…real growth that can only be accomplished by the work of the Holy Spirit. What I want for my CBC family is to ‘grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.’"
