Chantel Bedlington

Director of Children's Ministries

I am a Texas girl through and through - cowboy boots, big jewelry, salsa and sweet tea. Except for an 18 month stint in Kansas, I’ve lived in Texas my whole life. My wonderful husband (Matt) and I were married in 1999, and he is the love of my life. We have three beautiful children Brittney, Braden and Haley. I went to college at Dallas Baptist University, graduating with 2 kids in tow, and I finished grad school with all three of my kiddos in the audience.

Matt and I have always had a heart for adoption, so after having our two oldest we decided as a family to begin the adoption process. The story of how we got Haley is a long one, filled with every kind of emotion you can imagine, but she has certainly completed our family in every way. Who knows if we will ever adopt again, or if our children will one day, but it has certainly strengthened our hearts for children and spreading Christ-like love.

I fell in love with the church at a really early age. I grew up going to church every time the doors were open - the church was a safe place for me. The church is where I learned what family should look like, what love looks like, and what Jesus looks like.  I can remember the names of those children’s leaders who poured into my life, and it’s why I’m in children’s ministry today. I started working in children’s ministry back in 2004 and found Crossroads during the Christmas of 2011 and it has been our home ever since.

“My goal for CBC is that we are a church that is all about equipping parents to be the spiritual leaders in the lives of their children and that kids begin to know, love, and follow Jesus at an early age”
