As followers of Jesus, we are called to love one another. One of the ways people see the goodness of God is through how well we love our own. Benevolence is one of the ways we love our own well.

If you or someone you know in the CBC body is struggling to make ends meet and could use some financial assistance, Crossroads has a Benevolence Fund for that very purpose.  Our benevolence process is completely confidential and every request is handled with compassion and respect.

The benevolence process begins by contacting the benevolence deacons and requesting a confidential meeting, typically held in the church administrative offices on Sundays.  After a situational assessment, the benevolence deacons may provide assistance in accordance with the benevolence policy, which may include temporary financial support for immediate needs.

If you’d like more information about receiving financial assistance, including financial counseling, please email  This email goes to our two benevolence deacons only.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

John 13:34-35
