High School Trip to Arizona
June 19-26, 2010
We will be building homes on the San Carlos Apache Reservation in eastern Arizona with Amor Ministries. San Carlos is one of the poorest Native American communities in the United States, with a median annual household income of $13,400. About 59% of the people live in poverty. Go here for more details. Middle School to the Metroplex
July 18-22, 2010
The students will get the opportunity to step outside of their comfort zone and be confronted by the often unseen needs of our community. As students explore different facets of our city, they will engage in ministry and experience God in ways that inspire change in their lives. Estimated cost: $4,000 for various ministry needs. Guatemala
August 6-15, 2010
A team will assist CAM International's Brandon and Jenny Scott, in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, in building relationships in the community ans serving local pastors and waives. This is a trip for families in which the youngest adult needs to be at least 14, but no older than 21. Around a dozen spots are open for families. At least one parent will need to participate. All interested parties must fill out an application, be accepted by the missions board, and participate in all required training events. Estimated trip cost: $24,000 for airfare, housing, food, and other mission needs. Contact Duke White if you are interested.

Kenya: Kalifi: Strengthening Marriages
Two different conferences for Kenyan church leaders in partnership with African Leadership and Reconciliation Ministries (ALARM). We ministered to more than 200 pastors and church leaders from the Eastern coast of Kenya, an area that is largely Muslim and suffers from great poverty. Haiti: Chambellan: Strengthening Marriages
We traveled to our sister church in Chambellan, Haiti, to teach marriage principles and conduct a group wedding ceremony. Haitian customs are very different from ours. Many couples cannot join the church because they cannot afford a marriage license or wedding ceremony. Common-law marriages are not recognized by the church.

Kenya: Kwali: Training Leaders
Our second conference in Kenya was for pastors and lay leaders. We taught both the theology of grace and practical ministry topics such as bible study methods, teaching and preaching techniques, and counseling. Keep up with the Africa trips through our blog.
