Crossroads Bible Church was formed through the merger of two
churches in the Lewisville area--Lake Cities Bible Church and
Fellowship Bible Church of Lewisville. |

 |
|
Lake
Cities Bible Church was formed in 1979 in Highland Village, Texas
when five families, feeling the need for an independent, evangelical
body of believers in west Lewisville, met in Highland Village City
Hall in January to charter a church. After meeting in homes from
January 1979 to April 1980, the church moved to Highland Village
City Hall, and later moved to the High Meadows Academy. |

Fellowship
Bible Church of Lewisville began in November of 1981 when some Home
Group members from the original Fellowship Bible Church in Dallas,
longing to assemble closer to home, began meeting in a Lewisville
day-care center. In January of 1983, they leased a facility on Main
Street. As growth continued, FBC moved to Timbercreek Elementary
School in Flower Mound in December 1985. |

The
two churches merged on June 15, 1986, and decided to name the new
church Crossroads Bible Church on July 20, 1986. CBC moved into its
facility at 9099 East FM 407 and celebrated its first services at
the new building on Christmas Eve, 1988. |

After several years of growth, CBC made the decision to move. Land
was purchased in Double Oak, Texas and the first services were held
at the present facility on May 5, 2002. |
